What to Know About the New Zoning Ordinance:

Before reviewing the new Zoning Ordinance, review this document that provides all of the information you need to know.

The Ordinance will be reviewed by Public Hearing at the Planning Commission on April 20, 2021. At this meeting, members of the public will be given the opportunity to provide public comment to specifically address the new Ordinance. If Planning Commission recommends approval of the Ordinance, this Ordinance will be reviewed at the following two City Council meetings on May 3, 2021 and May 17, 2021. During these meetings, public comment will be open at the beginning of the meeting to speak on any item on the agenda, including the proposed Ordinance.

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING- Zoning Ordinance of the City of Chelsea

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing, as the statute in such case provides, to repeal Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 166) and adopt the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Chelsea (Ordinance No. 181). The aforesaid hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 7:00 pm remotely using Zoom video conferencing program. Information will be posted to the City of Chelsea’s website (www.city-chelsea.org) no less than 72 hours prior to the meeting.

Signed, written comments concerning the new Ordinance will be accepted prior to the Planning Commission meeting and will be read at the meeting. Comments should be addressed to the Chelsea Planning Commission, 305 S Main St, Suite 100, Chelsea, MI  48118 or emailed to jupfal@city-chelsea.org. 

Persons requiring reasonable accommodations to disabilities in order that the hearing be accessible to them, are requested to notify the Chelsea Planning Commission Chairman no later than five (5) business days prior to the date of the hearing of such disability.

Notice is hereby given that the Chelsea Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing, as the statute in such case provides, to repeal the Official Zoning Map to the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (Ordinance No. 166) and adopt the Official Zoning Map to the City of Chelsea Zoning Ordinance (“Zoning Map, City of Chelsea”) (Ordinance No. 181). The aforesaid hearing will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 7:00 pm remotely using Zoom video conferencing program. Information will be posted to the City of Chelsea’s website (www.city-chelsea.org) no less than 72 hours prior to the meeting
