The City of Chelsea has certified compliance with the State of Michigan's EVIP requirements for accountability and transparency by completing and publishing a Citizen's Guide and Dashboard as of October 1, 2012.

The Citizen's Guide is a visual representation of the City's annual financial information.  The Citizen's Guide also includes required information on pension and retiree health obligations; for which further detail is also available in the annual financial reports.   The Dashboard is a high-level summary of a variety of statistics that attempt to reflect the overall health of a community. 

This information can be helpful in developing a general understanding of the City, however; it is best reviewed in coordination with other sources such as observing City Council meetings, reviewing the management discussion and analysis in the annual financial reports, monitoring the City website and understanding the City's positions in comparison with similar communities.
