Access your Utility Account Online! The City of Chelsea has just implemented a new feature in the utilities system! This new, online account viewing feature allows our customers to see charts of their historic usage, check to see if a payment they sent was received or check on the amount of a current bill. With this new feature, customers can even elect to 'go paperless' and receive email notification that the latest billing information is available online rather than have a printed bill sent. How do you use it? It's easy! Visit the City website (www.city-chelsea.org) and choose the Utilities option from the left-hand menu bar. Click the 'view your utility account ' link in the center of the page and follow the online prompts. You will need to have your utility account number available. That account number can be found on your monthly invoice. Click here for a help guide for use in trying our new online account feature. Online bill pay is also a component of our new software, and allows customers to pay by credit card or e-check for a fee. The fee goes directly to a third party that administers the online payment tool. The City will receive only payment for the invoice. The City continues to offer a direct debit option for free as we have for many years for those customers seeking a simpler payment method. Customers simply need to complete an authorization form and the City will pull their monthly payment amount electronically from the specified bank account on the last business day of the month (the day the bill is due).
