Western Washtenaw Recycling Authority (WWRA) is a partnership of six municipalities working together to find alternative ways to handle waste and promote recycling.   WWRA operates independently of the City of Chelsea and is funded through a one-time fee to new residents and a separate millage.  WWRA shares a location with the City of Chelsea Solid Waste Department at 8025 Werkner Road.   WWRA offers curbside recycling to Chelsea residents weekly and provides drop-off bins on Old Manchester Rd. across from the Fair Grounds and also at Vogels Party Store at 20490 M-52.   WWRA can be reached at 475-6160 or at This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
