Funded the resurfacing and infrastructure improvements to the parking lot north of Heydlauff’s, which is owned by Chelsea Milling, and leased to the City for $1 a year. The DDA worked with Middle Street business owners to acquire easements to allow public parking on entire lot.

Funded the repaving of the portion of Park Street which resides in the DDA District.

Funded the repaving and curb reconstruction of the parking lot behind the County Building\Common Grill.

For many years the DDA has contributed $5,000 to Summerfest , which under the latest amendments to the enabling legislation acknowledges these contributions as marketing efforts.

Pledged substantial financial support this year and next to “Sounds & Sights” as the Committee seeks ways to make the annual event financially independent. This is encouraged in the legislation as a marketing effort.

Purchased and installed new banners and banner hardware for the light poles in the DDA District. Additional research is continuing to find more durable and attractive hardware.

For nearly 20 years the DDA has been responsible for providing tree lights and holiday decorations in the District.
